Track #11 Every Blessing is a Curse in Disguise

I woke up this morning and pulled back my blinds
The sun it was shinning too big and too bright
I wish it was raining because on this day
I’m putting my baby into his grave

I sit on a high hill under a big sky
With people gathered who bid their good-byes
Upon the soft ground our chairs they do sit
So nice for the shoveler who digs his pit

Every blessing’s a curse in disguise
‘Cause god and the devil conspire
You’ll listen and learn if you’re wise
Every blessing’s a curse in disguise

Oh sad sad life, oh sad sad life
Where even your sorrow wears smiles
Yeah, sad sad life

Well I am alone now with nothing in view
I have only one wish to die in my youth
For I know I’ll live long, it’s our family way
And I’ll be alone ‘till judgment day

Every blessing’s a curse in disguise
‘Cause god and the devil conspire
You’ll listen and learn if you’re wise
Every blessing’s a curse in disguise
