12. Hell of a Good Man

Album: Moody Girl
Track #12 Hell of a Good Man

Listen ladies,

I’m tired hearing of all your candy coated cries

I’d rather eat my dinner dining on a bucket of dirt

Then spend one precious moment with just one of those jerks

I’d rather crawl through glass and set my hair on fire

Sister maybe,

There ain’t no pay off when your racehorse is a drag

You been behind him with a shovel every step on the track

And when you’re all but finished you’ll be smooching that ass

Now someone must have dropped you on your head

So I’ll tell you what my mama always said

It’ take a hell of a good man to be my Mr. Right

It takes a hell of a sweet man to see me every night

It takes a hell of a good man to be better than no man at all

A hell of a man just like my daddy

Lion or lamb he loves me

And on his heart my brand is sweet, and I’m a queen

Listen ladies, I hope that you don’t think that I don’t understand

But I would rather stick a red-hot poker right in my eyes

Then wonder which is bigger his IQ or shoe size

I’d rather lick hot wires or Russian roulette

It’ take a hell of a good man to be my Mr. Right

It takes a hell of a sweet man to see me every night

It takes a hell of a good man to be better than no man at all
