8 . High Roller

Album: Let’s Go Together
Track #8 High Roller

High roller man, what cha’ tryin’ to do to me?
High roller man , you’ve been hanging round
I see right through, you know it’s plain
That you’re trouble by the score

Now I don’t care that you live up on the hill
And I don’t care that you drive a big car
I don’t care that you wear those fancy suits
And I don’t want you to make me a star

Mama gave me something special I know
It’s a lesson everyone has been told
Every man on this earth
Has to measure his worth by his good deeds
And not by his dough

High roller man, what cha’ tryin’ to do to me?
High roller man ,you’ve been hanging round
I see right through, you know it’s plain
That you’re trouble by the score

So you see that riches don’t impress me
I’m old fashioned even simple you see
Other girls in the world may want diamonds and pearls
But love has no price tag to me

Don’t misconstrue that I might like you
It’s of no use pick pocket smile
To bust this lock you would have to blow it
With more than what you’ve got
With more than what you’ve got

High roller man, what cha’ tryin’ to do to me?
High roller man ,you’ve been hanging round
I see right through, you know it’s plain
That you’re trouble by the score

High roller man, what cha’ tryin’ to do to me?
High roller man ,you’ve been hanging round
I see right through, you know it’s plain
That you’re trouble by the score
