12. Out of My Mind

Album: Let’s Go Together
Track #10 Out of My Mind

He bought a one way ticket on the northern line
He gonna ride that rail to the end this time
He’s wearing high white spats and patent shoes
He’s gunning for that girl with the devil’s own blues

He says, “I’m out of your arms and out of my mind
You can’t leave me behind
I’m out of your arms and out of my mind
Love like this should be a crime”

He loves her long sharp nails and fishnets too
He had to have that girl with the walk so cool
He held her close one time that much is true
But with a love like that one time just won’t do

He says, “I’m out of your arms and out of my mind
You can’t leave me behind
I’m out of your arms and out of my mind
Love like this should be a crime”

A burning down in his soul
A fire deep down below
A fire that when it grows you know
Nothing compares or comes close

He’s gone away to find her
But here’s the scoop
He’s not the only one looking for the truth
He swore he’d go stark mad if she weren’t his
When he found that note with a red lipstick kiss

It said “Your out of my arms and out of my mind
Please don’t think me unkind
You’re out of my arms and out of my mind
So many so little time, so many so little time
So many so little time”
